What this page does
The Truth Engine
This is where the site gets terrifyingly sincere. If politics is allowed to lie, P4A has to make truthfulness a design constraint, not a vibe.
The public promise is not perfect knowledge. It is traceable claims, visible uncertainty, and correction mechanisms that are stronger than campaign norms.
The legal-memory part now has its own workbench: the Law Engine / Legal RAG page. This Truth Engine page is the broader public-claims, corrections and accountability layer.
Political advertising / checked 3 October 2026
Authorised by whom? True according to what?
An election ad can affect your vote, your services and your trust in the result. Knowing its source helps, but does not establish that its claims are true. The AEC explains that federal authorisation requirements identify the source of electoral communication; it does not regulate the political content of those communications. This is the federal position described by the AEC, not a claim that every jurisdiction has identical rules.
Public evidence and correction ledgerAttach sources, dates, disputed interpretations and visible corrections to campaign claims. It is accessible and preserves disagreement, but participation and public attention determine its reach.
Independent rapid adjudicationA review body could assess disputed factual advertising claims during campaigns. Speed matters, but so do independence, clear jurisdiction, adequate resources and a right to answer.
Enforceable truth standardA narrowly defined legal standard could attach consequences to materially false factual advertising. It would need safeguards for opinion, satire, honest mistakes and appeals, and protection against complaints used to silence opponents.
These are options for public debate, not an adopted P4A platform. Truth Engine proposes source trails, claim labels and public repairs; Aura Politics explores a candidate mirror with evidence drills, conflicts disclosure and human appeal. Neither is a claim that software can settle political disagreement.
Save the exact ad, date, platform, authorisation and the specific factual claim. Compare its source with the original document, ask the campaign for evidence or a correction, and publish the response alongside the claim. Use the AEC's authorisation enquiry route for an authorisation issue; a disputed political opinion is a different matter. Ask your representative which truth standard and appeal protections they support.
Core modules
Civil deeds registryClaims, contributions, corrections and model changes need provenance: who said it, what changed, and what evidence sits underneath.
Legal simulationPolicy should be tested against legislation, council powers, constitutional limits and likely ripple effects before it becomes campaign theatre.
Human-in-the-loop AIAI can retrieve, compare and explain, but sensitive civic decisions require accountable human checkpoints and public correction paths.
Real-world precedent
Wales is already testing the line.
The Welsh Senedd debate matters because it shows anti-lying politics is not just a meme. Wales has passed Member Accountability legislation and is actively working through how deliberate deception by elected members should be handled without criminalising honest mistakes, argument, satire or ordinary political disagreement.
P4A's Truth Engine would learn from that: prove intent carefully, separate error from deception, give people a correction path, and make the public record harder to quietly bury.
Cultural protocol
Pressure. Light. Code. Repeat. becomes a plain-language pattern for the Truth Engine: test under pressure, illuminate assumptions, encode provenance, repeat in public.
Contract standard
The Truth Engine should eventually let ordinary people inspect public claims about tolls, leases, insurance pools, food-security plans and health programs. What contract exists? Who benefits? When does it expire? What evidence supports the reform? What would change, and who checks the model?
Public standard
The promise is not that P4A knows everything. The promise is that important claims should be traceable, uncertainty should be visible, and mistakes should leave a public repair trail instead of disappearing into political fog.
UAP: no giggle tax, a better observation record
The Empty Chair policy takes possible crypto-terrestrial and extra-terrestrial observation or interference as a working premise, without assuming who or what is involved. Its purposes are empathy, black swan preparedness, and existential threat avoidance.
NASA’s UAP study asks what data exist, what new observations would help and how reporting can improve. That is a useful public method: preserve time, place, original media, instrument limits and competing explanations. An unresolved observation remains unresolved; neither ridicule nor an invented confirmation adds evidence.
Open archival accessMakes historical reports inspectable, with privacy and security redactions explained.
Better civilian reportingConsistent observation fields improve comparison, but need moderation and protection of witnesses’ identities.
Targeted instrumentationCalibrated observations can test particular questions; equipment and analysis cost money and require a defined research purpose.
An observation dossier can hold the claim, original records, corrections and competing explanations. Search a named archive record, ask for its release status or document a lawful observation without trespassing or exposing private locations. Ancient-history questions have their own room.
